revising chemistry

20 09 2009

SHOCK AND HORROR, isn’t it? I am finally revising Chemistry. I figured that if I want a distinction for Combine Science, I need to score a distinction for both Physics and Chemistry; or else they will just take the average grade. Also, I realised that a lot of Chemistry is based on memorising. Memorising is hard work, but it’s fun when you know how.

impressions

15 09 2009

时间过了走了
爱情面临选择
你冷了倦了我哭了
一开始的不快乐
你用卡片拭写着

Not too long ago, I walked pass the Express class beside us and I got a strong impression from them. This impression since then has always been in my head, and today I will finally blog it out.

It was after recess and I decided to visit the washroom located at the opposite block. As I leave my classroom, I began to stare into the Express class with curiosity. As I added more footsteps into my life, I stared even harder. The atmosphere in that classroom before my very eyes is the impression that will probably remain in my entire life, and probably be my new motivation drive. The atmosphere was still, cold, quiet; the only sound that came from the classroom is the vibrations of the fans, the friction caused by the pen and its user, and a clique of people discussing. Mind you, they were not discussing about commonly played games or the latest porn movie, but discussing if the answer they have calculated or written down is correct.

Suddenly, it hit me. I should be like them too. After all, my examination starts earlier than them.
To the Express students beside my class (I doubt you people will read this though, since I don’t know any of you except for Francisca): Keep up the good work. I can practically see you guys collecting your results with happiness and the feeling of success.

For now, I will log off and give the final touches to my Geography paper. Once, a wise man said, “Suffer now, enjoy later.” Oh, and when I asked my maths teacher on how well did I score in my mathematics prelim paper, she said, “very bad”. I think I’m going to cry.

end of phase 1

9 09 2009

Today marks the end of the GCE Normal Level Examination Phase 1. Phase 1 includes papers that are marked locally as well as a specific paper that requires a lot of time to mark: English.

This is actually my first time sitting for ANY examination in a hall. During my primary six days, our PSLE was actually conducted in our respective classrooms; hence, whenever people mention about taking examinations in a hall, I’d get pretty excited.

Alas, I regret not putting effort in Social Studies. Anyway, it’s over. I’ll put in my best, and I emphasise, best effort for my other subjects in Phase 2. I have one month left and this one month is my second chance.

it is time

Today, while in geography class, I was having a friendly conversation with my teacher when she said,

You are coming back to do Sec 5, Weiqi, aren’t you?

Then, I began to think. I think, it is time for me to put in my best effort.

no, no, no
