Dear teachers and friends,

No, I do not have blood flowing out of any part of my body.

Lately, you’d have realised that I have been acting strange or rather weirdly in class. People asked me if I am stressed up and I replied, I’m not! However, after doing a research on stress, I just realised that, indeed, I’m stressed. I get irritated easily, I am over sensitive and I am always having this on-off case of insomnia. During this and I quote from my discipline master, “sensitive and vulnerable period”, I guess all of us are stressed; it’s just a matter on how to handle them.

I must admit, in my 9 years of education, this is the first time someone have told me that I’m stressed. Are you interested to hear another shocking truth? I do not feel stress at all! Maybe it’s very obvious to others, but believe me, I really can’t tell. I think I am very slacking.

Anyway, whatever it is, if I have caused you to be upset or have said something to you that you find it offensive, I’m sorry. I hope you can understand how I feel as much as I would like to understand your feelings too.

Finally, I would like to say these to two different group of people.

4A1 ‘09: WORK HARD! Let us all make history for Fajar! WE CAN DO IT! Remember, our goal is to be promoted to Secondary 5. I know we can do it. We should, we can, we will.

To the following teachers:
Mr Chin WT
Mdm Hedzlyn
Mrs Yap BH
Ms Lin SH
Mr Lee KW
Mdm Bahsula
Mrs Joanna Goh

It is a privilege to be taught by you people, an elite team of teachers. Thank you for your guidance through my upper secondary school life. As I am approaching the finishing line, I hope you will give me your final and best support. Once again, thank you.

Your sincerely,
PMS Boy

deja vu

Yes, I will swallow my pride and proudly announce to the whole world that “History matters”. Why? Because it is deja vu all over again. A mistake made by me during the mid-year examinations were waiting for me to learn from it, but I chose not to. I chose to be ignorant, tiki* and proud.

I have just received my GCE N Level preliminary results and I only passed 4 subjects. Ladies and gentlemen, I FUCKING REPEAT: 4 SUBJECTS. That is one subject less for the requirements to move on to Secondary Five. However, this time, Combine Humanities decided to take a seat in the bottom three while Principle of Accounts managed to escape. Unfortunately for Combine Humanities, it was being voted off alongside with Chinese. I thought I would not need to study for Geography but it isn’t the case anymore. I am utterly disappointed in myself.

From tomorrow onwards, I will no longer be proud, arrogant and ignorant. I will be humble. I will put in effort in all my subjects except for Chinese. I will and must move on to Secondary Five.

I have just found my tag line: Fill what’s empty, empty what’s full.

*tiki = stubborn

preliminary examinations

The GCE Normal Level preliminary examinations is coming to an end. Now it is time for reflection.

Q. How much time did you spend revising?
A. Very little.

Q. On average, how much time did you spend on revising each subject?
A. Approximately 1 hour?

Q. How confident are you in meeting the requirements for promotion to Secondary 5?
A. ERROR. *Please contact the respective authority to acknowledge the problem on WordPress. Error code - f4i1*

I must say this time round I really took things for granted. I am beginning to be complacent; this attitude must be thrown away when taking a national examination. Now, all I can do is to hope that things will turn out good for me although I know that success is 90% hard work, 8% copying and 2% luck.

By the way, the copying part is just a joke. Some people will accept whatever they read and then flame the author. No wonder the passage in my English preliminary paper had something about tall tales and urban legend. Deja vu all over again.

cravings

I know it’s weird, but I’m currently craving for some horseradish and a roasted Beef Sandwich. Mmm.

i promise…

15 08 2009

I promise not to think of sex every 10 seconds.
I promise to be more hard working.
I promise not to lie too much.
I promise to treat my dog better.
I promise to spend more time on doing something valuable.
I promise to stop drinking sweet drinks whenever I’m thirsty; water is the way to go.
I promise to loose weight.
I promise to do well for my examinations.
I promise not to let myself down.
I promise not to think of sex every 10 seconds.
I promise to be more lively.
I promise to be more active.
I promise to be more humble.
I promise to be more understanding.
I promise to be more tech savvy.
I promise to be more obedient.
I promise to train my typing speed.
I promise to work hard on my Combine Humanities.
I promise to work hard on my Chinese, although that is not possible.
I promise not to think of sex every 10 seconds.

luck

14 08 2009

Today, I think I’m the first in the world to understand what life is.

1. I decided to go to Starbucks to study and have a cup of Green Tea blended cream.
2. I waited for the gate to open.
3. After 5 minutes, I just realised I have no money left.
4. I went back to borrow some money.
5. I went back to the gate and waited.
6. Suddenly, Firdaus appeared out of nowhere. Now we are seperated by a metallic gate.
7. Azmeran came and fetch Firdaus but as he don’t have the keys, we started a conversation.
8. I was talking to Azmeran when somehow, somewhere, someone opened the gate and Firdaus came in.
9. 5 seconds later, the gate closes and I realised I’m still stuck.
10. I gave up. I decided to study at the pool.

In conclusion, life is unpredictable and somehow directs you to the decision that is most wanted.

slacking

12 08 2009

After school, we found a seat at the concourse. We started revising our Social Studies when Ivin looked at me with those scary eyes and said (and I quote), “Weiqi, you very slack this exam.”

*music starts playing*

I stopped what I was doing. Suddenly the world came to a halt. The clock stopped ticking, the printer stopped printing, the teachers stopped marking and the students stopped studying. Inch by inch, I slowly place my pen on the table. When it finally reached the table, a small speck of dust came from below my pen and surrounded it. I turned 180 degrees facing Fajar’s famous staircase and imitated The Thinker.

I thought to myself, “Yes, it’s true.” I really need to be more hardworking…

And yes, I believe Kenneth will be a successful person in the future.
